Concession Duty Information
Each hockey family is required to complete one full week of concession duty during the season. Your assigned week will include all games scheduled during that week, so it is important that your family works together with the other families assigned to the same week.
HOW TO SIGN UP FOR YOUR WEEK
We will let families know in advance when the concession volunteer slots will be posted.
Please note that this year, concession sign-ups will be done through our new Crossbar website.
To access the available concession weeks:
- Log in to your Crossbar account.
- Click “Account” in the top-left corner.
- Select “Volunteer.”
- You will then be able to view and select an available concession week.
Please make sure you select one full week for your family. We encourage families to sign up as soon as the volunteer slots are posted so you have the best selection of available weeks.
NEW THIS YEAR — PLAN YOUR WEEK IN ADVANCE
This year, we are asking families to be more proactive in organizing their concession coverage.
Once you know who else is assigned to your week:
- Start a group chat with the other families assigned to the same week.
- Work together to create a schedule for who will work each game.
- Make sure every game during your assigned week has the required concession coverage.
- Once your schedule is finalized, email the schedule to Sarah at sblock8@hotmail.com. Questions, reach out to Sarah @ 763-242-0173
- The email should clearly list who will be working at each game.
Planning ahead will help make concession duties easier for everyone and ensure we have adequate coverage for every game.
AGE REQUIREMENT
Only individuals 16 years of age or older are permitted to work in the concession stand.
Please plan accordingly when creating your weekly schedule.
IF YOU CANNOT WORK YOUR SCHEDULED GAME
If you are unable to work a game that you have been scheduled for, it is your responsibility to find an approved replacement.
If you are having difficulty finding someone to cover your shift, please contact Sarah for a list of approved individuals who may be available to help.
Please do not leave your assigned game without coverage.
SIGN-IN SHEET
There will be a concession sign-in sheet located in the concession stand.
Everyone working concessions must sign in each day they work. This will be used to verify that concession responsibilities have been completed.
IMPORTANT — CONCESSION REQUIREMENT
Each family is responsible for completing their assigned concession week.
If you do not fulfill your assigned week of concession duty, your family will be charged a $400 concession fee.
We appreciate everyone's cooperation in making sure concessions run smoothly throughout the season. This is an important fundraiser for our hockey program, and having families work together and communicate in advance will make the process much easier for everyone.
